Yes, I know that they were a once off special but I am very happy they were, got another three flights to come. When you talk about price being highest you ever paid you would also know that the taxes are much higher now too. Its funny we all talk about high prices but I still have the receipt from my first ever trip in August 2001 where our ‘cheap' price for flights and 10 nights was over $1400 and taxes probably less than half of what they are now!
After June 2007 when my Jetstar cheapies have run out I will shop around for best price and if its not Jetstar I will fly Garuda, don't care who, as long as its cheap and they get me there safely, its not like it's a long haul trip - six hours is no big deal. I am very thankful there is competition.
I know you had a bad experience and have said so but mine wasn't so wanted to provide another side. I didn't wait on the phone for more than 10 minutes each time I called. After refusing to send a letter and pay for a stamp for something that was not my fault and refusing to hang up I was put through to the supervisor who called me back with the answer. This differs from your experience so it must be a case of who answers your call and the size of your problem.
The people on the phone said they werent actually Jetstar employees but a company doing their reservations and enquiries. They said that is why they couldn't put me through to customer service section, though I agree with you and don't think this section actually exists. If this is true then hopefully Jetstar will recognise this company is not providing the best service and things may improve.
Nice putting a face to the name at Indo. Ruth
