What you are anticipating is to travel from East Java, to Central Java to West Java and I guess back again or are you going to fly back to Bali from Jakarta.
If you have a look at the map of Java it is a long way and if you wish to stay a day or two here and there you will need at least 10 days in my opinion.
And I say that because I spent 35 days travelling from West Java to Central Java to East Java in late June through to end July this end.
I think you will find a car and driver will be about 500,000 rupiah per day.And you must be aware that if you travel at weekends between Bogor and Bandung there will be traffic jams galore because all the people from Jakarta leave en mass at weekends.
That road from Bogor to Bandung is usually packed- I have spent many hours on a bus going from Bogor to Cipanas and Cianjur where I used to have a small english school for children.
If you are going to travel to East Java, please do not miss out on seeing the most wonderful sight, that of Gunung Bromo.
Gunung Bromo and Kawah Ijen the sulphur volcano were the two highlights for me in East Java.
Here is the link to my Bromo photos
