i too have stayed at the kartika plaza and did not get a good sleep not to mention the fact that there was a fire in our room so havent stayed there since it is too big. myself i like pelangi in seminyak where the beds are nice the food good and the beer cold. and best of all its quiet. also there are good eateries around which are cheap when you walk out the door and go down the street such as benny's seafood place and a couple of others. the hawkers on the beach dont annoy you and they have shuttle to kuta 6 times a day so where ever you choose to stay have agood time and remember its isnt like home naywhere but homne cheers sharon
