Hello everyone, just back last Saturday. We had a sensational time. There was 10 of travelling ranging from 56 through to 3 years old.
We flew Skywest from Perth to Denpasar taking 7 hours, with a stop in Broome and then doing the Customs thing at Port Hedland. I must say Skywest were fantastic and there is lots of leg room. We arrived in Bali with only 78 people on board so it was a very relaxed way of arriving. I certainly would do it that way again, and it was quite cheap.
It was very hot last week, the locals are saying that is has been very dry over there as well. They are praying for lots of rain.
We stayed at the Besakih in Sanur which is always nice. There were only 16 rooms bing used and only 9 rooms being used next door at the Gazebo.
Bought some really nice linen clothing from a shop in Sanur called Ibisa, (next door to The Zoo). They also have really nice funky jewellery.
Got some Martha Tillar (sorry) at Ramayana, they have plenty of stock.
Ate a few meals at Kami Sama on the beach, always very nice. Ate at Lumut, which I love and Mangoes. The food at the hotel was exceptionally good I thought. Drank lots and just generally lazed around this time. I did however go to the Balian healer man and that was fasinating.
This is just a quick report. I have been quite nervous about writing this.
I am off to do some housework now!
Bye for now
Robyn
