Thanks for the nice words, I was nervous about saying anything on here but feel OK about it now.
The Balians name I got off the forum, a lady had posted his name and details. His name Cokorde Rai (spelling?). You will find his phone number and address in the archives. I should have looked it up for you before I started this post. I gave all my printed stuff to a friend who is up there this week.
This healer certainly commands attention, I couldnt stop looking at him as he has that classic elder statesman look that you expect to see in photos only. Very thin and wiry and he had on a sarong with a white singlet and a shirt that was open. His mobile phone rang once and he fished it out of his sash and sent a message, that was a classic!
He has a beautiful tone to his voice. He is a little hard to understand but there was a lady getting treated there as well and her husband translated where necessary.
He talked alot about the body and our mind and how we have to have problems in life to be able to understand how to deal with them and life!
He pushed around my head and face and my back and into my eyes, everywhere hurts on me! He then had me lie on my back and he pushed a stick into my toes underneath. I guess he is using reflexology, when he pushed into my small toe I nearly arrived back in Perth! Yeow! He said that is was my memory and that I shouldnt get so stressed and to learn to let things go. Easier said than done. He pushed into the side of my left thigh and that killed as well but after doing that and my toe a few more times the pain went! He was getting rid of all the toxins in my body.
The other lady that was there, (we were all there together in the middle of the family compound in a bale/pavillion, with our driver as well, he thought it was amazing), was suffering from headaches and stress as well as sinus problems and after he had poked and proded her he cut up some galangal and the outside layer of the betel fruit and put it into his mouth and chewed it for awhile and then he spat it onto both her temples, her sinus', behind both ears and at the base of her neck, and that is how she was when we left them!
He doesn't ask for money, you just put a donation under a basket on the alter.
I am rambling a bit so hope you can understand everything.
Regards Robyn
