what happened.We rarely use our credit cards in Bali but that them just in case we need to.We always phone the 2 banks that we have cards with & advise then that we are going to Bali only or + Lombok as per last trip.I do it at the same time that I register us with DFAT & cancel our newspaper deliveries.
Last trip because of health problems etc & the insurance company being involved I had to come home via Singapore & be in Bali longer than expected.I made sure that my husband phoned our banks as soon as he got home to let them know I was staying longer & when I found out I was coming home via Singapore & would be there almost a full day we added that to the list of places that they knew I would be.
There is a lot of dishonest people out in the world unfortunately & we all have to do the best to protect ourselves & our hard earnt money.I hope everything works out well for you.I am sure it will.Only problem we have ever had is somehow someone in USA debited our account 2x for the same amount for 2 months in a row.First month we picked it up on the statement & told the bank & we laughed when the same thing appeared on the next months statement !
