that Pattaya is fabulous. The setting is like Kuta, in fact in central Pattaya on the beach you think you are in Kuta.
Food on the beach is yummy.Mango and sticky rice yummmmm.
There are night markets, there are food places as cheap as Bali everywhere.
Tesco, Mikes and bigc shopping centres are wonderful.
They have a bart bus (local one) and taxi's are cheap.
Resort hotels for as little as $20 a night.(Sunshine garden hotel,Loma hotel,Pattaya garden hotel,Woodlands resort)
Massages everywhere.
Hair salons...well I had my hair done every second day as it was only $2 for a wash and blowdry.
Not directed to the tourist like phuket is and my thai friends stay there when they go back with their husbands.
If you can get to Thailand then i suggest you try pattaya and it's only 2 hours tops from bangkok.You can even get the train.
