They were talking about Tenganan, a traditional Bali Aga village, with traditions going back for [at least] several centuries. Tenganan is only a short, pleasant drive from Candi Dasa, so has become more accessible and tourist friendly than some of the other Bali Aga villages.
The traditional crafts include the very special, but not cheap, double ikat material and calendars scratched on wood [or something like that.
My friend Komang Mardika is a man of the village and his mother is a traditional weaver. He's probably working as a waiter in one of the Candi Dasa restaurants. He's a good guide and a nice guy and can take you in on the back of his motorbike. Hati Hati, Pelan Pelan!
Anything else, just ask.
