We were one of the may that were caught up in the AP fiasco. However remember the following.
1. Pay buy "Gold" credit card - you get your money back if you havn't started journey. Banks have a slush fund for this sort of disputed transaction.Sometimes the banks will try to get the agent to cough up with the money. This does not seem fair on the agent, however you have your money back.
2. If you have followed this in the international press you would have noticed two things
a. AP sold 49% (max by Indo law) to an australian carrier.
b. AP had to resume flights by 31 Dec or they would have been deregistered and lose their landing rights everywhere (Aus, Japan etc.)
Re a. above - It doesn't take much brain to come to a conclusion which carrier it may be - who has enough capital and doesn't already have landing rights in DPS. Could be wrong but ......
