i have been coming to bali for the last 11 years and I have to say - since the bombings the number of bogan/yobbo aussies have dropped off.they still go there, but not as frequently. the kinda people who still go to bali regularly like most forumites - are those people who LOVE bali and treat it with respect and kindness. I have formed many strong friendships with locals and forumites alike.
we have all seen those scarey yob tourists and perhaps if we all take a moment when we see them to show them how the appreciate the place with a little more respect - there will be less of them.
Actually if it wasn't for the yobs I would never have discovered the great gay nightclubs bali has - my husband and I and our friends prefer to hang out at the gay nightclubs as there are no aussie yobs there! Also whats a trip to bali without witnessing some bogan overweight divorcee picking up a kuta cowboy and just being sad!! or seeing bright red aussie tourists with braids in their hair - racing for the dutyfree holiday 50s and jimbeam at sydney airport when they come home - they make the bali experience too !!!
