(disgust?) this very topic with some Balinese folk and the answer I get each time is that they realise that there are good folks and not so good folks in every culture and nationality, including their own. Bottom line they have told me is that they weigh up and respect people on an individual basis.
And to the telegraph reporter, does he really think that Bali is better off without us, even with the yob factor taken into account???
