Im not knocking this post at all,especially since i have known this same guy for a large number of years,but I dont know where the figure of 2,500000 rp for a years schooling comes from unless it is a private school of sorts.
I sponsor several bali schoolkids including 2 high school kids,through rotary, and my fees per high school kid are less than this and rotary have already said that high school sponsorship will not be continuing, partly because of the exorbitant fees the schools are charging a sponsor group such as rotary and which an ordinary balinese parent, like abdul, are not being charged.So once again I dont believe the fees for standard high school are 2,55000 rp per child.
