Hi guyz an galz

So how did i almost get arrested in Bali??? Let me tell you (hehe)

We had been having a hard day by the pool drinking cocktails when one of our friends rang asking us if we would like to go to the big Kareoke Bar for the night!! Of course we said yes and went to get ready!!

When our friends arrived we all headed out the front to catch a cab, only problem was there was 5 of us and we would not all fit in the taxi!! So seeing as my mate had her daughter with her they went in the cab and took our friend with her as he knew where we were going!

I got voulenteered to go on the back of a motor bike with this bloke that our friend brought with him, he did not speak a word of english, but my friend assured me it would be ok as he is a safe rider and he would be following the taxi so it was all good!!

It was amazing fun riding thru the streets of Kuta, zooming along in and out of ass clenching gaps and in the mad bali traffic!! All was fun till we got to a point where the cars all went one way but the bikes had to go another, we took off down this lane and came out on the main road to join up with the others again.

But before we got to them, all of a sudden there were police sirens ringing right behind us!! I turned to see a very angry cop waving us over. We stopped and the copper got out of his jeep thing and headed straight for me! He grabbed me by the arm and started pulling me towards his car yelling at me and the rider, the rider jumped of his bike grabbed me by the other arm and started yelling at the cop!! (something you would never do here!!)

Neither of them were speaking english but they both were getting quite angry and kept yelling and pulling me in each direction. Eventualy the cop let me go, yelled atthe rider again and then left???
I asked the dude what the problem was and he said "oh yes, yes yes" nodding at me??? I then asked him if he had any smokes to try and calm my nerves and again he said "oh yes, yes" and hopped back on his bike motioning for mr to hop on!!

Shaken and a bit confused we finaly got to the Kareoke Bar and the bloke told our mate what had happened, it turns out that the police man was going to arrest me as i was not wearing a helmet!!! I hadnt even thought about a helmet!!! But he said the dude on the bike was arguing with the cop that he was only picking on me as i was a tourist and that he should go do some real work!! So thats why the cop got realy angry!!

I thought i was going to say hello to schapell Corby!!! (hehe)

But we headed into the Kareoke bar where a fee stiff drinks and some insane singing soon made me forget all about it, The rest of the night consisted of plenty of alcohol and lots of singing. The Kareoke bars in Bali are great, you get your own private rooms with total control over the music and noone to laugh at your drunken singing except your friends. Great night and lots of fun would recommend to all going to one of the Kareoke places, Just dont go by bike like i did(hehe)

looking back now it would have been quite a sight, seeing a small white girl being pulled by each arm indifferant directions, by a cop and a rider who were both yelling at each other and were quite adament that they were not going to let go of me!! and me, half drunk and looking very confused!!

LoL just one of lifes little funny experiances that i will remember forever!!!!!
