We found it was more the smaller shops that were shut but the bigger ones like Centro etc open. Went to the Ogoh- Ogoh parade thats definately worth a look . Have Made pick you up that night and get a park close and have some way then to get home. Hannah said it was like the Xmas pagaent only freaky and i suppose from an 8 yr olds perspective prob. true. Best place would be to go to Stadium bar at front of Ramayana or across to the near bar and have drinks whilst waiting or stand under the lights near deli near Ramayanas recpt.to watch .
I didnt go to the market the next day but apparently sellers full on and have to watch for pick pockets..
