I have searched the archives and I know that Nyepi is 19 March next year. We left Bali a day before Nyepi in 2006 and found that some shops had closed for a while around this holiday.
Does anyone know if shops, like teh Bintang supermarket, Bali Deli, Geneva or Macro would be open the day before Nyepi and for how many days would the shops typically be closed?
I am more than happy to relax and sit in our villa, do nothing and be quiet, but just for planning on buying food etc, I'd like some specifics on when to expect shops to be closed and then reopen again?
