Hi Peter-appreciated your evocative words. 2 months ago there was an horrific accident outside our place - 3.30am on a Friday morning. 6 girls in a small car, speeding around a corner, alcohol involved. 2 girls died, 2 seriously injured. Driver and other passenger minor injuries. My family and I woke to the sound of their screams - we'll never forget it. Your words evoked that night. and the aftermath, white crosses, flowers, soft toys etc tied to the tree nearest the wall where the car hit. My 11 yo daughter, who saw the clean up still going on 6 hours later, will hopefully remember and will not succumb to peer pressure etc. I feel for the families of those girls involved, for one family in particular where one child died and the other sister was seriously injured, I feel for the emergency personnel, for the local residents. I would love for your poem to be placed everywhere, to be read out on the radio. Andrea
