cultural points. I was astounded that she simply did not understand that often the reason that they're laughing is that they're embarrassed, or upset, and that it's often a more acceptable way of behaving.
I was also VERY surprised that she would say, a couple of streets back you'll see a cremation, as if that's not quite right. Surely that culture is the very reason that so many of us go back so many times.
I've always thought that in respect of the humour that Indonesian humour is with the victim, not at them.
All in all, an immensely shallow perspective on a culture. Somewhat dissappointing from a channel the calibre of RN.
