I had a look at Jetsar flights and am I correct in assuming that all flights from melb to DPS are via Sydney and that there is a lengthy stayover in Sydney? Is that your itinerary? There's flights at the moment for $272 one way and the same back ( without taxes ). We had a look through the Barong in feb this year, knowing that it was the sister hotel to the Bounty, and was pleasently surprised. Didn't realise there was another pool out the back. Ray.
