Rang my agent on Monday and had a lengthy discussion regarding this. Her thoughts are she believes it is suspect that Garuda are rolling back and this may be a sign that services may be provided from Denpasar to Perth from another airline. The names of Air Asia, Jetstar and an affiliated company of Air Paradise were mentioned.
My flight return back in January has been effected by the time change (was on the late night flight and now on midday flight) Asked whether it was possible to come home a day later as we had paid for late checkout. Spoke to Garuda in Perth and was told the flights were waitlisted. Was advised by agent when she looked into the system that we would more tham likely have to wait until Dec 7 (which was the last day for payment for those people who had seats held on the plan for our departure date)and then the seats that people had booked and payment was not received would drop out allowing for waitlisted people to get seats. As now the late night flight goes via Jakarta most people are opting to return midday so agent recommended we keep our flight.
At least one good thing came about we have been advised we are getting a refund for the late checkout we will no longer be using
