best advice is....download Dons price guide off this forum by searchin archives asap. DO NOT go without it. I gather you are a Bali virgin? your question RE "where is the best place to shop" um once you have spent 2 hrs on the streets, you will understand why that may be the most crazy question you have ever asked in your entire life! Cant stress enough about printing off that price list, without it, you will be taken for a big big ride.
You will have the best time tho. Enjoy, it is an eye opener and truly is heaven on earth.

ps. The shops stretch up the main RD, around the corner, thru the set of lights, into the next suberb and so on and so on.
Been to Bali 5 times and still havent seen all the shops!
