I wouldn't worry too much - if there's trouble it's likely to around Suva. If you're on the Coral Coast or out on an island, I doubt you'd even know it was going on. Only noticeable difference is a few roadblocks and military presence at the airport.
As an aside, my brother has booked a last minute surprise trip over there to propose to his girlfriend (leaving on 15/11), and he doesn't think it's worth altering his plans.
