with our son who was 2 1/2 years old. It was our third time with him so we moved hotel every 4 days and had a ball. We book all the hotels over the internet with Adrian from Bali Hotels holiday and because you pay per room and kids are free it worked out cheaper than the quotes we got from the travel agents. Dynasty is always a favourite with kids but they can't go to the kids club until they are 4. Baby sitters there are great. Ubud Village was our next stop. Our son loved it up here. Quiet and relaxing but fun and heaps to do. Also closer to the animal parks which he loved. Pelangi Hotel in Seminyak was great for us. We upgraded to have a room that was split into 2 so he had his own area and we had ours. Nice beach and pool. Then we stayed at the Vira for the last 4 nights in a suite and this was the best room of all. 2 rooms both with TV and dvd. Nice pool and close to where we wanted to shop. We had a look at Candi Dasa and that looked impressive as well - this is going to be one of the stops on our next trip. We did alot of day trips with a driver who has a son of similar age and he was so good with our son who can be a real handful at times. Our sons favourite places were Monkey Forest and Bali Zoo. For a bit extra the kids get to be led around the zoo on the back of a pony to see all the animals. He thought he was so special!!! Waterbomb park is great with the section for the smaller kids. Apparently they also offer a baby sitting service if you want to use the day spa for a massage etc (highly recommend this spa - but not as cheap as others) As far as safety goes .... well .... I don't think that anywhere in the world is 100% safe any more. We never once felt unsafe or exposed when we were there and we will keep going back. I guess we are probably more aware of our surroundings since travelling with our son than we were when it was just. You will all have a ball!!!
