Just to answer your questions about the accident which you asked a while ago.

As you know the accident was on the lake at Bedugul and it can get foggy there really quickly. The day before the boys had been jetskiing as well, and the fog got very thick, but straight away the operators ordered everyone back in, and sent a boat out to locate those who did not hear the message on the PA.

The day of the accident the weather was clear, and was not a factor in th eaccident. I was actually not there at the time - the boys had gone there with my husband. From what he tells me the boys had been called in at the end of their ride and my younger one collided with his brother, and his jet ski hit Ryan in the abdomen and threw him into the water.

At the scene Ryan was in shock but did not appear seriously hurt - he even told the jetski operator that he was just winded. There was no medical assistance given by the operator - Ryan was allowed to lie down on the couch until I arrived about 1/2 hour later. We were asked to pay the equivalent of $100 for damage to the jetski.

We were leaving that day for Kuta, so we left as planned with our driver. Ryan rested in the car, and also at the hotel, but again did not seem to be in serious pain or showing obvious signs of his injury.
After we had been back a couple of hours he said he was feeling more pain, so I contacted a doctor and then took him into BIMC. He was admitted there straight away, and after 2 days transferred to Prima Medika. The following day it was decided to do the surgery.

I was very impressed with the treatment Ryan received in both BIMC and Prima Medika. Also as soon as surgery was decided the Australian consulate made contact with me and kept in touch regularily to see how Ryan was doing.
