Some snakeskins, water snakes mostly, are legal imports as are farmed snakes, but all must be accompanied a CITES certificate, which is a government certified document confirming the skin is not from an endangered species or was farmed.

These are impossible to get in Indonesia and you can't get one for a single pair of shoes.

Far be it for me to suggest you break the laws of your country, but if you do get a pair hide them.
