Credit card warning

Just a warning to tell my mother stayed at Garden View a month ago and she had her card used (well they tried). She had never used this card anywhere else before. The bank refused the transaction (must have been over the limit) and cancelled the card.
PLease be aware. I thought nothing of this and then a friend tell me that there card was used from Phuket. They only used card at hotel when you had to give card at check-in like most hotels. The fraud squad knew which hotel chain it woiuld have been as they have had trouble with them. (Horizon chain in general)
