Ryan is recovering well and will be discharged tomorrow. Due to school holidays we are not leaving until 28 July, so he is happy to have two extra weeks in Bali. He is also going to need about a month off work - he is an apprentice bricklayer and heavy lifting will be out for a while. I will answer specific questions about accident later but I have nothing but good things to say about the medical treatment Ryan has received. The hospital has kept us informed and taken great care of him. Also my insurance company has been great and once it was confirmed that Ryan needed surgery, the Australian consulate also made contact with us, and has been helpful with organising visa extensions and making phone calls home.
Certainly a holiday we are never going to forget!!!
