ok now dont get me wrong as i love bali as well but social behaviour such as left hand ,not pointing with the finger ,and all the other things,are learned through experience its not something thats going to be remembered reading it off a forum....the indonesions understand that we are tourists...not locals ,you must realise that its only a small percentage of tourists that do repeat trips to bali(i just got my quote for a 3rd trip this year)and i still dont know all the do's and donts so lighten up if you do feel you have offended someone then simply say *im sorry* has anyone ever been at a casino playing a game and the *TOURIST SITTING NEXT TO YOU CLEARS HIS THROAT AND SPITS IT ON THE FLOOR*it goes both ways remember that and enjoy your HOLIDAY
