I absolutely loathe being accosted in this way anywhere. My aversion to over-zealous hawkers in Kuta/Legian has been expressed in previous posts.

On the other hand, tho, Asians in general do not seem to mind close personal contact, especially while travelling - what we consider to be an invasion of personal space is the norm in many Asian countries, and our aversion to touching strangers is often incomprehensible to them.

Nevertheless, those hawkers, sellers, touts in Bali should understand that the majority of their targets very much dislike being grabbed, or touched physically in any way. Given that their employment is tourist-based, it's something they should know, aye?

I wonder how to say "Please don't touch me"?
