I prefer Sanur, stayed in both Sanur and Legian last time (as well as a few days in Lombok).
Re the Puri, back there in a few days, if you can't get a booking try for a better room, we have upgraded and it was not a lot more, also the std rooms at Puri do not have a TV (not the end of the world on a honeymoon but nice to kick back for a few hours and blob).
If you make it to the Puri then head out to the beach and turn right and go to Donalds and Bobbys. Also out on the main drag is Mezzanine which is upmarket and more expensive but very nice and is actually part of the Puri.
We were to be married in Sanur and the wedding reception was to be at Mezzanine until the Bali bombing 10 days before the wedding.
Re Seminyak that is quieter than the rest of the Kuta strip and has some more upmarket restaurants and shopping and lots of nightlife.
That said, the taxi ride from Sanur to Jl Legian is not expensive so you can have the best of both worlds and kick back at Sanur and head over to Legian for some action (yes Sanur is quiet, not much night life).
