Hi,

I stayed there for the first time in early Feb this year and adored it. I stayed in one of their new rooms - a 'Super Deluxe' room, which was at the far end of the property, facing rice paddies. The rice paddies are about 3 feet from the patio of my room & extended as far as the eye can see. To the right of my room was the monkey forest, about 5 mins walk from the hotel by road.
The hotel is small & ranges from basic to super deluxe accomoodation. My room had a single & double bed in it - it was on ground floor. The first floor room had a queen side bed & balcony. The room itself was split level with the bed area & a couple of steps down to an area with a comfy corner couch, a desk area with a minibar & tea/coffee making facilites. The wardrobe had a room safe in it. The bathroom had a roomy corner bath with a recessed pull out shower hose. There was also a separate shower with an enormous shower rose, with excellent water pressure. The room was extremely clean, as were the towels. There is no TV, but I never watch one in Bali anyway. The view is fantastic & you can watch the rice farmers working in the fields, the ducks having a swim or feed, the herons flying home to roost at dusk & sunsets to die for over the monkey forest. At night you are serenaded by frogs.
The pool is smallish, but clean and refreshing after a day out in the heat. The pool bar is closed. Reception will provide you with a pool towel if you wish. They have a massage bale where you can have a massage, or in your room if you prefer. They also have some exercise equipment in an outdoor covered area near the pool, though I didn't see anyone using it. There is a small restaurant next to reception with good food, reasonable prices & room service but no bar. You can get wine and beer though.
The staff were very friendly & helpful. Above the reception area is a games/computer room. You can use the internet at a cost, but it is dial-up (there is an internet cafe in the main street of Ubud that has broadband, & is faster & cheaper). The hotel provides an excellent shuttle service into Ubud anytime you want. They will also take you to nearby villages at night for dancing performances. They will pick you up too, if you ring them. I used this service alot!

I booked my room directly with the hotel. The hotel answered my email & sent me a form to fill in to debit my credit card for the room. This hotel is very popular, and I could only get 5 nights accomodation, when I wanted 10 - so book well in advance if you can.
I have photos & a hotel map on an online site - email me & I will give you the web address, if you are interested.
