BGH rooms has anyone stayed since Nov'05

I went by MsMaggies recommendation for rooms 173 and 174, then friends have decided to join us, so we booked 175 and 176. Now someone is saying there is a bad smell in this area and a really noisy air-con unit. Has anyone stayed since Miss Maggie - Nov.'05? And if so, is this correct and how bad is the smell and how noisy is the a/c.
We have booked Delux rooms.
