The expression was Ozzie/Jap/Eurotrash, meant to be interpreted as (Ozzie/Jap/Euro)-trash (ash)

Perhaps it would have been better if I wrote Australian/Japanese/Italian/German/Dutch/British/French/Danish et al/Ash, but I think something would have been lost in the effort.

Maybe our sense of humour.

Almost incidentally now, the post WAS about smoking in restaurants. Which, for a non-smoker, a consumer and therefore a part of the economic reason a restaurant is open IS about being a (paying) customer in a restaurant! If you know of any restaurant in Bali that is happy to have me as a non-paying guest.. let me know.
