Just a warning to those who may consider diving as an activity whilst in Bali. Unfortunatley I had left my visit to Nusa Dua for my last day in Bali because I wanted to make myself really really tired so I would sleep on the flight home. I had an unsettling experience whilst visiting the Nusa Dua water sports. I have dived in Melbourne and had thought diving in Bali would not be possible due to rainy season. I was surprised to see diving offered as part of the many water sports @ Nusa Dua and jumped at the opportunity (FOOLISH!) Despite my comments about "flying home tonight" to the 'head-person' and discussions with the 'dive master' and various helpers whilst getting fitted for all the gear NO ONE REALISED THE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS COMBINATION OF DIVE & FLY !!
Fortunatley I remembered after we had all gear ready and about to dive, surprisingly they were not concerned and keen to continue, but I refused to dive. I dont know if they fully understood the danger and ramifications ! ! Returning to Melbourne via the hyperbaric chamber was not my idea of a good way to finish my Bali holiday. This was my only hic-cup. The remainder of my Bali holiday was outstanding !
