Hi we stay at the Legian Paradesio (twice just love the location) so reading your JBR is brining back many memories from a couple of weeks ago. - Breakfast has gone down hill (still plenty on offer if you ask for it) compared to our first stay in Sept/Oct 2005, but with no tourists we didn't expect too much.
You have got to love that pool swim up pool bar and the staff though!
The security / metal detector that you walk through out the front was in place in sept/oct and we were only required to walk through it a couple of times, same again a couple of weeks ago, token gesture really.
The same could be said for the guys working at many hotel boom gates who look under cars entering with a mirror on a stick or the guys at matahari with the metal detector.
