pretend they can't speak English, it is always nice to be greeted with a friendly hello or smile, I class this as important in the tourist industry no matter where you are. We had a few last trip that tried several tricks, going the longest route thinking we didn't no any different, using forged payment cards, we knew they were dodgy as they had no Official stamp nor were they the same price as others we went in the route, I mean double (come on) I tip
probably too much as I have a sensitive nature when I see people in need but I don't like to be cheated as I'm sure others don't either..
