I just did some research on Australian Government website that was very informative.
Australia has had Avian Flu before, the last case being in 1997 in Tamworth.
If cooked above 70 degrees it kills the virus.
Found in bird feaces and respiratory secretions. No evidence of an human's passing it onto each other.
Since we will be there for a short period of time there is a low chance that we will get it.
