I went to Pantai in August with a friend of mine. Found it to be relatively romantic (candle light, sitting by the beach). It's not flash, by any means, but I wasn't looking for flash.
I thought the food was fantastic, and well priced. We both had seafood and it was much nicer than Jimbaran bay, much more comfy seating, and much better priced.
The only thing that detracted from it being completely romantic was the 2 couples that were seated at the table next to us halfway through our meal. The guys turned up in shorts and no shirts, and the girls were in skirts and bikini tops - and they were all quite loud with their conversations. Until that point, we'd had a fairly quiet and isolated table.
I'd definitely go back again, whether it be for a romantic dinner or otherwise. The only thing that would have made it better is if they served Bintang.
