Am I correct in thinking you mean Kalibukbuk which is the main shopping /restaurant area of Lovina ? I know this section of Lovina fairly well but can't place where you mean.Do you mean the main street that has the bars,restaurants,the supermarket & the dive shop etc ? (the street where the dolphin statue is),the next street over( that Rambutan Cottages is in ) or maybe the main road from Singaraja ? An expat or a Balinese person ?
I not sure what you mean by the opposite side to the hotels & beach - maybe you are referring to out of town a bit - the side of the raod that has mainly rice paddies on it.A a lot of the hotels are pretty spread out around Lovina.I think you may mean something a lot further out of town.Do you realise that a whole long strip is called Lovina & covers about 12 km - for example we once stayed in Anturan but that was still part of the area known as Lovina.If you can possibly give more info myself or others may be able to help more.
