I do not really feel like entering an argument here but it is not petty on my side to ask for proper amenities or safe electricity in the room of a five stars hotel - it is petty and cheap by the management/housekeeping/maintenance to not provide anything, after several requests. I am very, very sorry to tell that my visit to the Ramada was an all time low as to staying in hotels.
In nine months many, many things can change, as for example the management is new or the financial situation has turned bad. That can happen to any establishment. It is not an excuse here, though.
How many of us haven't had a favourite restaurant, be it at home or in (for example) Bali. You eat there almost every day. The place is always full and it is difficult to get a table. You enjoy your meals and recommend the restaurant to friends. Then you return there to eat, after some time, only to find the restaurant almost empty of guests. But with all pleasant memories of excellent service and superb food you enter and order, just to find the food horrible and the place not overly clean at that. So you ask the staff what has happened. You are told that there is a new owner or new manager or a new chef, and that some or all of these people do not really know how to operate a restaurant. Upon hearing that you leave never to come back and you warn people to eat there. It is a normal reaction, isn't it?
