Our family of 4 stayed there in Sept 04 and every thing was as it was advertised (4 star in our Aus. brochures).
We arrived at 1.30 pm and after having our welcome drink given to us immediately in reception, were escorted to our room.
Everytime we saw a vechicle approach the boom gate it was searched with a mirror.
We had about 12 wood hangers of which all were fine.
Room service was done about 10 am - clean towels every day. 2 soaps, conditioning shampoo, bath gel and even body lotion always in plentiful supply.
Most of the staff we had contact with were very pleasant. I cannot comment on their response to complaints as we never found the need to make any!
As for the piece of paper that they ask to see on the way out to prove you have paid ALL of your bills - in todays world who can blame them?! Its a big hotel and I'm sure the place has been scammed plenty of times, thus the need for such a system that works. It certainly didn't bother us or loads of others we know that have stayed there. I would have NO HESITATION WHATSOEVER in recommending this hotel.
