When we stayed at the BGH we had a superior room booked and when I was there the time before I had gone to the hotel to look at the rooms and the girl said to me if there is any deluxe rooms available they will just give it to me, so when we checked in a few months later the same girl was there and she remembered me and just gave us a deluxe room which faced the ocean and pool, not that you could see them but it overlooked the fish pond and garden and no extra charge.
I guess it all depends if they are available at the time
