Do what suits you.....
Whether it be through the agent if that is quicker & simpler, phone if you have the time/money/inclination/need for direct contact, or email him or one of his staff (both are given out readily by either himself or listed on the website)
All will achieve the main goal of getting that upgrade if it's available.
