I think you were misunderstood but I think its a fair question all the same and hey, its a forum so ask away.

Personally I'm not a parent but we recently holidayed with a couple that took a 7 month old and a 2.5 year old. I went fully armed with EVERY remedy under the sun and copped the worst Bali Belly ever where as the kiddies resilience against little germs amazed me! The bubba always had her hands in her mouth after being god knows where, she was taken and carried off by coutless waiting staff in restaurants, she was fed out of peoples hands, cuddled and kissed all the time and never once picked up any sort of germ at all. Also the elder toddler never got sick but he still got into all the usual 2.5 year old things that little boys do. As far as 'disease' goes, I dunno? I think coming into contact with bodily fluids would be of grave concern but really, I wouldnt think it was common to slobber all over someone elses child. I thought it was great seeing the bubba go off happily with the Balinese, its good for them I reckon. (Says Lou who has mothered heaps of children - NOT)
