These things originates in the United States and were around 40 years ago. Image the damage inflicted when you put a metal ball bearing in the things - hence the term BB Gun! Last week when we were there curiosity got the better of me and I looked at one being hawked on the street. The seller demonstrated it by shooting it at the building upstairs and across the road. They are bloody dangerous weapons.
As a child I was bought up in the country and exposed to firearms at a young age and taught to respect them. I got my first air rifle at the age of 11 or 12 and was shooting my own .303" rifle on a rifle range under supervision at the age of 15. BUT THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD ALLOW A TEENAGER TO HAVE ONE OF THOSE IN SUBURBIA LET ALONE IN BALI !!! (PS haven't fired a gun now in 30 years)
