I was told by the girl at Mataharri's (ProXL) that the number is always good. Even up to a couple of years. You must top up with at least 50,000 to re-activate the cards. She mentioned something about their system could only take a certain amount of numbers so they de-activate the number. I am not a tech head so I don't know much about that part.
She also told me that some sellers tell you that they cannot re-activate the cards because they get the commission from the Connection and the recharge. There is more from the connection so they try the best deal for themselves. This applies to Pro XL and I don't know about the other companies. My sister returned on Friday night and she re-activated her card after 8 months.
