Went for a few days to Nusa Lembongan last July - really great and relaxed. As Rex says go on the local ferry - quite an experience. Best way to organise it if you haven't been before is book at a "travel agent" in Kuta (they are every where) a bus and ferry trip. A mini bus will pick yuo up from your hotel and take you to the "bus depot" in Legian St then by a bigger bus to Sanur. The boat leaves of the beach (ie sand). At Lembongan the ferry pulls up on the beach and locals will "greet you" and offer you accomadation which is all along the beach. It's losmen style accomadation (but don't be put off, my wife and I are a fair bit older than you!!). We stayed at Ketuts Losmen which from memory was about 250,000rp ($A30)for a room and breakfsat - it is a bit up market (it had a air con - that didn't really work!!).
Hire and outrigger boat and driver and go around the island (ask for Ketut Cool, a great young guy). Hire a motor bike for 3 hours and ride very slowly around the island (there are NO cars on Lembongan, only a few motor bikes)
I visited Bali in the mid 70s and Lembongan is sort of like Kuta was then (however they do have an internet shop on Lembongan - that operates when the electricity is runnning in the afternoon and evening)
Another great little spot is Padang Bai - we went by fishing boat from Lembongan but that's another story!!
If you haven't already get the Lonley Planet Guide - it has all this stuff
Good luck
