When I read of money or clothing etc going missing from rooms I sometimes wonder if it is opportunistic visitors to Bali, e.g.other tourists who are unscrupulous. (Every society has a few bods who will steal from others with no guilt at all). Easy for them to wander in off the beach and say to cleaning staff etc that they are looking for friends who are staying there, if challenged...happy to let the hotel staff take the flak if the theft is noticed.
