Yopu can definately bring drums into Aust, just be sure there are no pig hairs or any hairs on the skin, my hubby & I have about 8 as he plays them & we have some as cerorations, but we have NEVER had a problem with any of the drums!

With wooden products, buy a can of insect spray & put as much wood in to a plastic bag (we usually grab a pkt of large black garbabge bags) then spray into bag with insect spray & tie the bag up so the spray stays in there! On last day take it all out & shake/bang it outside on ground so any bugs/dust etc falls away. then pack all wooden products/items into 1 bag & then they only need to check that one bag at customs, they will remove wooden & tap/bang it to look for insects & dust showing any infestation as you've already killed them you won't have a problem!

With DVD's we just put them all in those slip in cases, no probs, even when hubby moved to Australia he had about 700+ music DVD's etc & not a question was asked!
