First time visitor to Bali-Jimbaran Bay

Hi all, I am a first time user of this site and will be a first time visitor to Bali. My wife and I will visit Bali for the first 3 weeks of August, 2005 and we were wondering where are the best places close by to eat and shop. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
