Hi everyone! We are just back from a glorious 3 weeks and still recovering from the jet lag....flying from Bali to Singapore to Hong Kong to San Francisco with another 5 hour wait to Seattle and then Vancouver so am extremely wiped out..but it was worth it...oh my god it was so much more beautiful than I remember it. When we arrived I felt such tears of gratitude to be there...the people are so sweet, the smells of the flowering trees, the sun...the people...
anyways couldn't have done it without so much info from this forum and all you great people..already planning are next visit. I will start the JBR's in a few days when I am over jet lag..just wanted to say hi...
PS If anyone is there right now or going soon...please let me know the name of the hotel right next door to the Legion (near the Oberoi). Someone said a new hotel opened there that was really nice and around $90 US...
We had a swim at the Legion as we knew someone staying there and saw the rooms...very beautiful...way beyond our price range...
more to come soon...so sad to be home and not still in Bali..but had such a wonderful time..
